FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: products: alkyl-tert.-alkyl esters are synthesized by interaction of hydrocarbon fraction containing C4-C5-isoolefins with C3-C4-alcohol in the presence of ionite catalyst at increased temperature and pressure. Process is carried out in apparatus consisting of the reaction and upper and bottom rectification zones. Isoolefin fraction in the form of liquid phase is fed to the upper part of rectification zone. 30-90 wt.-% of total isoolefin fraction quantity is fed to the reaction zone on the height 20-60% of that of catalyst layer at 30-50 C.
