FIELD: analytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method for preparation of standard mixtures of petroleum products for quantitative determination of petroleum products in water includes weighing of mixture of nonvolatile hydrocarbons with vapor pressure at 20 C of 1·10-4- 1·10-8 mm Hg; introduction of the mixture into water cleaned of petroleum products. From produced standard mixtures petroleum products are extracted by means of carbon tetrachloride. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
