FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method to cast pistons for internal combustion engines lies in the fact that cast cavity is oriented in the mould in such a manner to dispose cast-piston in the top. Time for die stroke in power unit is preset within 0.02 s. Mould impression is filled with solid- liquid metal. Device has a central core with locking pneumatic drive, side cores with spring-driven mechanism, with bevels made on lower faces of side cores and upper face of the central cores. Six-position carrousel has a position to press metal into the mould, where pressing mechanism is provided with impact pneumatic cylinder, and a sprayer provided, provided in turn, with mechanism of vertical hoisting and lowering system of tubes with radial holes. The sprayer is installed on position of paint injection. Impact pneumatic drive is made in the form of joint pneumatic cylinder and receiver with intermediate gate.
