SUBSTANCE: method for peat production includes excavation of raw peat from deposit, transportation to drying areas with formation of heaps according to the width of sheet and subsequent layer working of help. Process operations of layer working is carried out for one run over the entire width of heap in advancing along it of bridge equipment with lifting-lowering truss on which process equipment is mounted, with bridge equipment resting on peat deposit underlying the heap. The truss span of bridge equipment covers the heap width.
