FIELD: peat production technology. SUBSTANCE: method for production of molded peat includes peat includes peat excavation from deposit with simultaneous separation of wood inclusions, peat molding, and layer laying of molded members in drying figures with formation of vent channels. Peat excavated from deposit is placed in swath where it is held to its water content amounting to 80-90%, and molded members are laid in drying figures with layer criterion of 0.75-0.85 to height limited by strength of molded members underlying in drying figure. Drying figures are oriented in direction south-north with west-east direction of vent channels. EFFECT: improved peat drying conditions and its quality. 2 dwg
