FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor engine comprises stator with inner cylindrical chamber 2, output shaft 3 mounted in the stator, two disks with a pair of pistons freely mounted on the shaft and positioned in cylindrical chamber 2 for forming spaces of alternative volume between pistons of different disks and surface of the cylindrical chamber, mechanisms 10 for coupling disks with shaft, mechanisms for locking disks with respect to stator, inlet 12 and outlet ports provided in the stator, and unit for fuel supply coupled with cylindrical chamber 2. The engine is provided with gates arranged diametrically opposite in cylindrical chamber 2, driving mechanisms 17 kinematically coupled with the gates for moving the gates, pickup of position of the piston at the end of the compression stroke, pickup of moment of piston stop, pickup of moment of moving the piston past the outlet port, and pickup of moment of moving of the piston past inlet port 12 coupled with inlet of a control unit.
