FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: rods 4 of engine pistons are kinematically coupled with gear toothings 6 of free running clutches 7 through working gear racks 5. The clutches are mounted on two intermediate shafts 8,9 coupled with output shaft 13 through pinions 10,11 and gear wheel 12. Stop pinion 15, which is freely mounted on a fixed axle, can be located by brake blocks 17 for stop of the piston at a given position. Stop pinion 15 engages with additional gear rack 14.
