FIELD: removal of alluvium from sump. SUBSTANCE: device has pump plant mounted for reciprocating along longitudinal axis of sump, delivery distributing pipeline disposed above sump perpendicularly with respect to its longitudinal axis for moving on side wall of sump. Distributing pipeline has stream conducting branch pipes with tips carrying nozzles. Tips are disposed in pairs in lower part of branch pipes in inclined position relative to horizontal plane. Kinetic energy of closely spaced delivery down streams allows uniform and efficient washing out of mechanical alluvium from one or all chambers of sump to be provided. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
