FIELD: automotive vehicles; electrical equipment. SUBSTANCE: device provides for switching on windshield wiper 12 for intermittent operation with pauses between wiping cycles, or for continuous operation together with windshield washer 16 with delay of switching off after switching off of windshield washer. With windshield wiper switched on for intermittent operation by switch 15, cycle set-point device 6 generates positive pulse which, through OR gate 7 and threshold device 10 closes switch 11, and windshield wiper 12 executes one cycle of cleaning; after a certain time period cycle set-point device 6 again generates pulse, and process repeats. After switching off of switch 15 and subsequent switching off of switch 14, glass cleaning stops. With windshield washer 16 switched on by switch 17, capacitor 8 gets quickly charge through diode 9, threshold device 10 closes switch 11 and windshield wiper 12 operates at continuous mode. With switch 17 off, diode 9 prevents discharge of capacitor 8 to motor of windshield wiper 16; capacitor 8 gets discharged through or gate 7 and input circuits of threshold device 10 or other discharge circuits, and at drop of voltage to level at which threshold device 10 resets in initial position, switch 11 opens and after opening of switch 15, windshield wiping stops. One lead of capacitor 8 is connected to minus voltage bus, second lead of capacitor and output of cycle set-point device 6 are connected through OR gate 7 with common input of threshold device 10.
