FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: binary hexacyanoferrate (II) (NH4)2MgFe(CN)6. Method involves dissolving of metallic iron in hydrochloric acid, addition of sodium cyanide to the solution prepared preparing sodium cyanoferrate (II), addition of magnesium and ammonium ions to the latter compound taken at the excess with regard to stoichiometry. EFFECT: simplified method, increased yield of product, diminished stages of synthesis and colored impurity content.
