FIELD: gas-turbine engines; sealing units which may get in contact with working blades. SUBSTANCE: material consists of load-bearing frame- work made of carbon-ceramic material on base of graphitized fibres and carbido-silicon matrix, as well as various finely dispersed additions depending on specific requirements for the material (for example, boron nitride). EFFECT: reliable operation of seal when used in engines at temperature of working gas ranging from 1300 to 1400 C.
