FIELD: computer engineering, digital audio and videotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on recording of code groups by sequence of pulses of alternating polarity, where polarity of first pulse is formed in accordance with forward or backward code group as a whole, duration of pulses is set in agreement with values of odd code subgroups and interval extent between pulses is established in compliance with values of even code subgroups of group. Recording of three initial or any subsequent pairs of subgroups is input into forward or backward code depending on those codes which extent of signals of recording is minimal. EFFECT: enhanced density of recording of digital information up to 4-48 bits per minimal interval of transition of magnetization. 2 dwg
