FIELD: insulating materials. SUBSTANCE: for preparing of inflexible polyurethane foam polyisocyanate is interacted with product obtained after hydroxypropylation of xylitol backflow which is modified with diethylene glycol at the mass ratio of xylitol backflow to diethylene glycol = 100: (23-70), respectively, with hydroxyl number 387-440 mg KOH/g and dynamic viscosity = 800-2800 in the presence of catalyst, froth stabilizing agent and frothing agent. In the process of preparing polyester is mixed preliminary with water (frothing agent). Product is used for cooling insulation. EFFECT: improved method of polyurethane foam preparing. 1 tbl
