POLLEN CATCHER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2028782 C1

FIELD: apiculture; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this pollen catcher is dismountable assembled structure made of nontransparent material and suspended from beehive to overlap entrance. Pollen catching grid is made rotatable about longitudinal axis and provided with open position lock. Fly-in board and pollen collecting tray are integrated in single unit. Pollen catcher may be well used as veranda for chemically treating nectar carriers and transportation of beehives owing to overlapping of exit of bees from inner space outside by fly-in board and exit cover. Drinking bowl communicating with inner space provides for combination of functions. EFFECT: design of this pollen catcher allows convenience of use and maintenance, combining processes of pollen entrapping and drinking or feeding without use of extra structural members, enlarging functional capabilities, simplicity and lower rate of traumatism. 2 dwg
