FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: spindle 1 with cone sliding supports is mounted on the cone supports of housing 2. Radial grooves 3 for the lubricant are made on the surface of the spindle supports. On the upper support the grooves are made through, on the lower one they are made box. The pipeline for the lubricant is fed to them. Spindle 1 is connected with flexible coupling 13 strained in the axial direction. One of the cone supports of the spindle is made V-shaped. The cone supports are made with the angle of taper in the opposite direction. The spindle assembly is equipped with a glass having a flange on which mechanisms of centering 15 and leveling 14 are placed, the center of gravity of the mentioned mechanisms being shifted downstairs for stability. A spherical support is placed in the glass, on its flat surface a disk chuck is located. In the cone supports of the assembly one of the parts is made of material having hardness higher than usual.
