SUBSTANCE: invention can be used, for example, for high-speed grinding of small holes by grinding wheels with a super-hard abrasive monolayer applied. The spindle unit comprises a prefabricated housing, a spindle with hydrostatic supports having an annular chamber for injecting a working fluid, a spindle rotation electric motor disposed between the hydrostatic supports, and a spindle own longitudinal wave generator having a piezo plastic package which is mounted rearwardly on the rear flange of the assembly housing coaxially to the spindle, and the front end of the piezoelectric plate forms a slot gap with the rear end of the spindle, which opens into the annular chamber for injecting the working fluid. On the supporting surfaces of the spindle, there are spiral microcavities connected to annular chambers for injecting working fluid.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the loading characteristics of the spindle and the accuracy of spindle centering.
