APPARATUS FOR GRINDING AND LAPPING SEALING SURFACES OF PIPELINE FITTINGS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, equipment that may be used for making industrial pipeline fittings and for repairing it by working sealing surfaces of shutter (in wedge shutter: in housing and on wedge). SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes face chuck with tools arranged uniformly along its circumference and kinematically joined through pinions with gear wheel. The last is mounted in face chuck coaxially relative to it with possibility of rotation relative to it. Apparatus includes suspension unit rigidly joined by its one end with tail spindle of machine tool and mounted coaxially relative to spindle. Gear wheel is freely fit onto boss of face chuck; end of suspension unit turned to gear wheel is provided with spring-loaded pins mounted with possibility of inserting to respective openings of gear wheel. Such kinematic circuit provides mutually opposite motion of tools. EFFECT: enhanced intensity of working sealing surfaces. 4 dwg
