FIELD: precision machine-tool industry. SUBSTANCE: blank is set on faceplate of spindle and supporting group is turned so, that axis of support form with vertical XY plane, that passes through axis of spindle, random angle α in range of 0 to 90 deg. They try to get axis of spindle and axis of support to be in one horizontal plane. Then accurate value of angle a is determined and fixed and lathework of pieces is done. Deviation of shape of produced surface from the nearest spherical surface is determined. The nearest spherical surface radius Rк is calculated and difference between Rк and R(к

0). Pair of corresponding values of ΔRк and α is fixed. Then in several steps they change value of a and determine pairs of values of DRк and α. Received values are used to determine distances from axis of carriage to plane, that passes perpendicularly to axis of spindle through top of chisel, as angle of support group turning is equal to zero, distance between axes of support and spindle, as angle of support group turning is equal to zero, differences of distances from axis of support group to axis of spindle, projection of distance between axes of support group and carriage on axis, that is in parallel to axis of spindle, projection of distance between axes of support group and carriage on axis, that is perpendicular to axis of support group.
