SUBSTANCE: method for adaptive control of propulsion-steering unit shafting treatment includes generation of control signals arriving to an electric drive of transverse feed of a carriage with a cutter holder, at the same time in the plane stretching via the top of the cutter perpendicular to the axis of centres of the machine, with the help of optoelectronic sensors they control horizontal and vertical deviations of the support from the axis of the centres of the machine, the value of which is compensated due to additional movement of the carriage with the cutter holder, besides, the value of movement is determined according to the proposed formula.
