FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: fish protection structure of water intake includes screen plate located in headrace canal at angle in plan to its axis and adjacent with its lower side to fishway, trash-fish discharge tray with rectangular cross-section located along upper part of screen plate, water-air tube located behind screen plate and facing it with holes; trash-fish catching head located in front part of tray. Inlet part of head is deepened into headrace canal, and outlet part is found in tray space; and device for water level regulation in tray. Trash-fish catching head is made in form of deflector located above tray front wall to form slot between its edge and deflector crown. Deflector front part is arranged at acute angle to tray front wall, and deflector crown has air bleeding holes. Device may be provided with drive and deflector front wall with its crown is hinged to drive. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 6 dwg
