FISH PROTECTING AGGREGATE AND METHOD OF WATER INTAKE CONTROL Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: hydraulic technology. SUBSTANCE: method provides for turning of perforated pipes, mounted vertically on hinges in area of water intake. Using working fluid, fed by branch pressure pipes into sections of distributing collector, spray is formed in intervals of space between flexible elastic fabric sheets, that are set at given angle to direction of longitudinal component of velocity of water stream in feeding canal. Involvement of fish fry into water intake canal is prevented due to arrangement of water outgoing from space between sheets with velocity, that exceeds critical speed of fish swimming. Perforated pipes created sprays provide garbage and fish fry pushing beyond limits of inlet aperture influence zone of water intaking canal. EFFECT: fish protecting aggregate and method of water intake control are used in hydraulic technology. 8 cl, 9 dwg
