INERTIA FISHING REEL WITH AUTOMATIC HOOK SETTER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: amateur and sports fishing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed reel can be used fishing with bottom fishing rod. Reel has housing, hook setter and hook setter and ratchet mechanism control levers installed on axles for turning and contact with permanent magnet. Magnet is installed on housing for engagement with armature of hook setter control lever. Weight and guide loop for fishing line are rigidly secured on one arm of hook setter control lever, and armature is secured on other arm. Slot for engagement with ratchet wheel is made on L-shaped control lever of ratchet mechanism, ratchet wheel being rigidly secured on axle of fishing line drum. Leaf winding spring and ring-stop are rigidly secured on axle. Threaded joint with leaf spring winding handle is made on secured end of drum axle. Fishing line winder is made in form of drum on housing of which operation mode selector is installed containing axle on which lever is installed for turning, being held in preset mode by spring.

EFFECT: increased yield owing to prevention of tackle resistance at biting and possibility to control duration of biting before hook setting.
