FIELD: ball joint production. SUBSTANCE: method, comprising steps of making a casing with a spherical recess and a rolled land and a ball head with a stem; mounting the ball head in the recess of the casing; depressing the rolled land along the ball head; lapping the head and the casing, coated by a layer of lubricating liquid with simultaneous pumping of the lubricating liquid through a gap between the head and the casing until complete ceasing of pressing out of the gap lapping products; subsequent additional reduction of the rolled land, also includes step of cyclically applying to the head an effort upon the lapping process and directing this effort along the axis of the stem towards the rolled land in such a way, that a value of the effort, being applied, is no more, than its operational value. EFFECT: enhanced quality of ball joint members due to the increased accuracy of lapping. 1 cl, 1 dwg
