FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of joint assemblies. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing ball head with stem into spherical recess of housing having rolled land; crimping the last along ball head; then evaluating operational capability of ball joint, namely, loading rolled land at side of stem by means of reference load applied along axis of stem; controlling clearance between housing and ball head and when such clearance does not correspond to standard one performing afterrolling; then measuring deflection angle of stem relative to housing at action of reference load applied to stem normally relative to its axis at fixed housing; realizing running-in of head and housing by mutual motion of their spheric surfaces under layer of lubricating fluid and simultaneously applying to them cyclic load directed along stem axis to side of rolled land. Value of cyclic load is no more than that of operational load. After additional crimping of land, clearance between housing and ball head is compared with maximally admissible value in order to confirm operationability.
