FIELD: replacement of flow feeder on glass filament production unit in one stage. SUBSTANCE: method involves dismounting burnt flow feeder and mounting new flow feeder; effectuating dismounting by heating crystallized glass disposed in annular space between burnt flow feeder and dismounting device, which is preliminarily installed coaxially relative to flow feeder to be subsequently mounted; upon burning of flow feeder, disconnecting upper current supplying arrangement of flow feeder from common terminal; changing-over current conducting bus from lower current supplying arrangement of flow feeder to current supplying arrangement of dismounting device; heating dismounting device till crystallized glass is softened; releasing and withdrawing burnt flow feeder from feeding system; disconnecting power source from dismounting device; cleaning site for receiving new flow feeder; mounting it; connecting upper current supplying arrangement to common terminal and changing-over current conducting bus from dismounting device current supplying arrangement to lower current supplying arrangement of new flow feeder.
