FIELD: production of fibres from basalt rocks; design of devices for melting basalts.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing continuous fibre from basalt rocks involves melting basalt rocks in a melting device in the form of a main feeder with the formation of zones of molten basalt in the form of a stationary lower zone of crystallized basalt, an intermediate low-moving zone containing a small amount of crystalline inclusions, and an upper zone - a high-temperature layer of basalt melt, and supplying molten basalt from the melting device through slotted stones to spinneret feeders to form continuous basalt fibres. From the top layer of basalt melt, a linear selection of basalt melt is carried out with a thickness equal to 0.25-0.40 from the level of the basalt melt δf in the channel of the main feeder, and a width equal to or greater than the length of the spinneret feeder, which is the working flow in the ceramic channel, where controlled cooling of the working flow of basalt melt is carried out with equalization of its temperature across its entire width δc to a temperature 120-150°C lower than the temperature set on the top of the spinneret feeder. The basalt melt is fed through a slotted stone into the upper part of a spinneret feeder with at least 800 spinnerets. After that, controlled cooling of the entire volume of the basalt melt in the lower part of the spinneret feeder is carried out to a temperature close to the crystallization temperature of the basalt melt TS. The design of the device for implementing this method is also disclosed.

EFFECT: ensuring a stable process of fibre spinning on large spinneret areas of spinneret feeders by minimizing the temperature gradient over the entire area of the spinneret feeder.
