FIELD: in medicine as an antispasmodic. SUBSTANCE: a new process for preparing 1-(aminomethyl) cyclohexaneacetic acid of the general formula: C6H10(CH2COOH)(CH2NH2) .. Reagent 1: 1-(cyanodicyclohexyl) acetic acid derivative of the formula: C6H10(CN)(CH2Z) , prepared by decarboxylation of dialkyl ester of (1-cyanocyclohexyl) malonic acid of the formula: C6H10(CN)[CH(COOR)2) (III) or a compound of the formula II wherein Z is a CN group. Reagent 2: benzyl alcohol of the formula IV: O= , M= , n = R1C6H4CH2OH or lower aliphatic alcohol. Reaction conditions: compound II wherein Z is COOR, R-C1-C4-alkil or compound II in which Z is a CN group is reacted with a benzyl alcohol IV or lower aliphatic alcohol in the presence of a basic catalyst or mineral acid followed by aqueous hydrolysis of the compound in which Z is CN to obtain a compound of the formula: C6H10(CN)(CH2COOPhR1) , wherein R' is as defined above, which compound is subjected to catalytic hydrogenation. EFFECT: improved properties of the title compound. 5 cl
