SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: generating an interrogation signal; irradiating it and receiving it on an object being tracked; generating; irradiating and receiving response signal by a two-channel antenna, forming a third signal equal to the ratio of amplitude of a signal received via a second channel to an amplitude of a signal received via a first channel, attenuating the response signal in the first channel as much as x_i times during its reception where x_i is the ratio of power direction pattern level of the first channel in the direction of noise source to direction pattern level of the second channel in i-th direction. The device for effecting the method has transmitter 1, circulators 2,5, two-channel antenna 3, receiver 4, controllable attenuator 6, control unit 7.
