FIELD: radar. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: generating an interrogation signal; irradiating it and receiving it on an object being tracked; generating; irradiating and receiving response signal by a two-channel antenna, forming a third signal equal to the ratio of amplitude of a signal received via a second channel to an amplitude of a signal received via a first channel, attenuating the response signal in the first channel as much as xi times during its reception where xi is the ratio of power direction pattern level of the first channel in the direction of noise source to direction pattern level of the second channel in i-th direction. The device for effecting the method has transmitter 1, circulators 2,5, two-channel antenna 3, receiver 4, controllable attenuator 6, control unit 7.
