FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this stepping motor is designed for discrete electric drives. It includes stator of two identical magnetoconductive plates in the form of parts of ring with coils of control winding. First plate is made in the form of one part of ring and has poles 41, on its ends, second plate is produced in the form of the other part of ring and has poles 42. on its ends. Identical permanent magnets 5 are placed between poles 41 and 42. Poles 41 and 42 are symmetric with reference to symmetry plane 6 of magnets 5 perpendicular to axis of rotation of rotor 1. Discrete unidirectional rotation of rotor is ensured by feed of heteropolar pulses. Invention provides for enhanced reliability and efficiency by levelling axial magnetic attractions and by decrease of average length of turn of control winding with increase of its effective length.
