FIELD: petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves two-stage dehydration of isopentane, condensation of contact gas of the first dehydration stage, stabilization of resulting condensate by rectification and separation in the distillate of the fraction containing C3-C4-hydrocarbons and 3-methylbutene-1. Then 3-methylbutene is separated from this fraction by precise rectification. The still product of stabilization -isopentane-isoamylene fraction - is divided into an isopentane fraction returned to the first dehydration stage, and an isoamylene fraction delivered for the second dehydration stage. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
