FIELD: petroleum refining. SUBSTANCE: method involves atmospheric or vacuum distilling of crude oil in presence of an addition. Said addition is constituted by still residues of synthetic fatty acids or coal tar, or the products of their processing, or else by a copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate, mol. wt 1000-100000, or surface-active substance selected from a group of oxyethylated (oxyethylation degree 10-20) C₁₀-C₂₀ alkylphenols, oxyethylated (oxyethylation degree 2-6) primary amines C₁₀-C₁₆. The addition is introduced in the amount of 0.00001-5% of the weight of raw materials. The products of processing of synthetic fatty acids are the products of their heat treatment at 300-420 C for 0.5-5 h while the product of coal tar processing is the rafinate product resulting after treating the coal tar with a polar solvent, e.g. acetone.
