METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF WELL DRIFT ANGLE IN SUCCESSIVE POINTS AND GYROSCOPIC INCLINOMETER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: precise instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on measurement of free fall acceleration and angular velocity by three mutually perpendicular axes. Angular velocity is measured by two two-degree-of-freedom gyros whose bodies are successively installed in position of 0 and 180 deg. Then, Earth angular velocity is determined as half-difference of measured angular velocity with gyro bodies in positions of 0 and 180 deg. Well drift angle is calculated with consideration of measured values by given mathematic relation. Inclinometer has meters of acceleration by three mutually perpendicular axes and angular velocity by same axes on the base of two-degree-of-freedom gyros whose outputs are connected to drift angle computer. Angular velocity meter is provided with two turning axles, two actuating mechanisms and two supports for execution of turning of gyro body. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
