FIELD: precision instrument engineering, mainly gyroscopic one, applicable in designing of gyrocompasses and course-indicating devices of the analytical type. SUBSTANCE: for determining the angle of true course with the aid of the two-channel gyroscopic angular-rate sensor a preliminary phasing-in of the system of voltage measurement from standard resistances is carried out with the signs of projections of the earth rate horizontal component. The coefficients of the gyro drift model are determined. At gyrocompassing in the desired course position of the object the angles of inclination of the plane of the gyro input axes in pitch and roll, the object position latitude angle, voltages from the gyro standard resistances in the first and second channels are determined, and the value of the true course is determined analytically compensating for the projections on the input axes of the earth rate vertical component and gyro drift. EFFECT: provided determination of the true course in the conditions of a fixed inclined base. 3 dwg
