WIND POWER PLANT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2030777 C1

FIELD: wind power. SUBSTANCE: plant has vertical shaft 1 with traverses 14 and electric generator. The shaft is mounted on a foundation. Blades 19 with sprockets 20,21 is mounted on the traverses. The sprockets are coupled with sprockets 4,5 through a chain transmission having 1:2 transmission ratio. Stator 3 of the electric generator is rigidly secured to the vertical shaft. The stator and shaft are axially alined. Sprockets 4,5 are secured to the shaft. The vertical shaft is mounted for permitting rotation. The traverses with blades and rotor 2 of the electric generator are mounted for rotation at the top end of the shaft. Each sprocket of the shaft is connected with one of the halves of blade sprockets through chain 25. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
