FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method of detection of ribonucleic acid of hepatitis virus A is based on the molecular hybridization of viral nucleic acid with biotinized deoxyribonucleic probe. Source of probe: recombinant bacteriophage M13HAVP-1 containing insertion of cDNA with length 390 nucleotide links which is complementary to genome part of hepatitis A virus encoding envelope protein VP-1 and containing nucleotide sequence given in description of invention.
