FIELD: genetic engineering, molecular biology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polynucleotide used for detection of HCV hepatitis virus and its fragments given in fig. 18. Primer for DNA synthesis, labeled probe carrying the label to be detected and capture probe are the polynucleotide fragment. Method involves incubation of polynucleotide fragment with a sample under conditions providing the formation of hybridized duplexes between polynucleotide reagent and HCV nucleic acid and formed duplexes are detected. Before incubation of polynucleotide reagent with a sample nucleic acid of the sample can be amplified additionally by the method of polymerase chain reaction using a primer. Nucleic acid is isolated from the blood sample where the presence of HCV nucleic acid is suspected. Nucleic acid is incubated with polynucleotide fragment as polynucleotide reagent under conditions providing the formation of hybridized duplexes between HCV nucleic acid and polynucleotide reagent indicated above.
