FIELD: medical industry. SUBSTANCE: the process for manufacturing stainless steel medical end tools comprises mechanically treating and cyanidizing the working portion and simultaneously hardening at a temperature of 940-980 C for 1-2.5 min during anodic heating in an electrolyte containing an equal amount of ammonium chloride, ammonium nitrate and carbamide, and tempering the tools at a temperature of 350-425 C for 5-15 minutes, simultaneously ionic-plasma spraying of titanium or zirconium nitrides and subsequently cooling at a rate of 15-80 C. EFFECT: improved properties of the medical end tools. 8 cl, 1 tbl
