FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary cooling tool working part ends made from hexagonal steel to liquid nitrogen temperature; deforming; bending and conducting bench work; tempering at 480-510 C for 25-60 min. Method allows wear-resistance and service life to be increased by 3-4 times, surface finish and corrosion resistance to be increased by 1-2 degrees as compared with standard tool.
