FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: thermodynamic condition of fluid, which is introduced at least in the first turbine stage 8, is changed by expanding, swirling about the longitudinal axis of the engine, and cooling upstream of the turbine stage. Cooling of fluid is performed by air under pressure which is at least equal to pressure of fluid with changed thermodynamic condition. The gas- turbine engine has at least two turbine stages 8,9 mounted inside the flowing section, compressor 3, and source 1 of heated fluid. Source 1 has zone (H) of expanding fluid, zone of swirling fluid, and zone 2 of mixing heated fluid with coolant downstream of the swirling zone. Zone 2 of mixing heated fluid with coolant is in communication with the flowing section of the compressor. Pressure in the flowing section of the compressor is at least equal to pressure of fluid in zone 2 of mixing. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 11 cl, 5 dwg
