FIELD: mechanical testing of materials. SUBSTANCE: machine has unit to fixing wheel during preparation of surface and carrying test operation out. Unit for fixing wheel has hoisting-rotary table 2 mounted onto the base of walking-beam conveyer 3 and support frame 4 with adjusted rests 5, the frame is mounted onto the base of the conveyer 3 either. Unit also has device for preparing surface of tested wheel 6; the unit is mounted onto the common bed together with the base of walking-beam conveyer 3. The unit has inserted blade milling cutter provided with plain milling cutter 6 which moves at horizontal plane relatively bed 9 by means of movable table 10. Test head 11 is provided with vertical displacement drive 12; head 11 is mounted onto cutter 7. Unit also has electro-optic system 13 for measuring and processing imprint applied and to achieve measurement results in form of units of hardness. Walking-beam conveyer 3 is used for supplying and getting wheel out of machine. EFFECT: simplified design; widened functional capabilities. 3 cl, 1 dwg
