FIELD: mechanical engineering and instrument making. SUBSTANCE: method involves separate extrusion of thermoplastic materials for base and backing films, holding extruded sheets in viscous-flow state of polymer. Then cells are vacuum-molded on the base film, the backing film is placed on top of it, and both films are welded together so that gas is encapsulated in the cells of the base film. Encapsulated gas is constituted by volatile substances whose boiling temperature is higher than the polymer processing temperature. The volatile substances are extruded at low temperature jointly with melt of the base film and films are welded by the heat of the backing film.
