CLUTCH-BRAKE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: clutch is provided with driving shaft 1 having a number of cranks 2 and drum 3 mounted on driven shaft 4 and pivotally connected with driving shaft 1. The shafts 1,4 are pivotally secured inside housing 7 provided with a driving mechanism. Blocks 14 are interposed between disk 10 and rim of drum 3. The blocks are coupled with crank 2 through carriers 18. Blocks 14 are mounted for permitting friction interaction with the drum through a free running mechanism. Disk 19 is set in guides of the drum for interaction with friction members 20 pivotally connected with arms of double-arm levers 24 which, in turn, are pivotally connected with pressing disk 21 through ties 25. When friction members 20 interact with disk 19, drum 3 is braked. Housing 7 is secured to the machine housing through a movable base. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 8 cl, 8 dwg
