CLUTCH-BRAKE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: clutch-brake has driving member 1 with screw joint 2 and crank 3. A braking member is mounted on driven shaft 4 secured inside housing 5 of machine 6. The braking member is constructed as drum 7 with friction lining 8 provided on one face and permitting interaction with surface 9 of housing 5 and wedge-shaped grooves 11 made in the other face. Rolling bodies 13, which interact with surface 14 of wall 15, are received in the grooves. Drum 7 is pivotally connected with pin 18 of disk 19 for permitting axial movement. Carriers 23, coupled to blocks 24, are connected with crank 3. Drum 7 has wedge- shaped grooves 25 wherein rolling bodies 27 are received for permitting interaction with surface 28 of blocks 24 which, in turn, interact with surface 29 of disk 19. The faces of disk 19 and surface 32 are positioned with a spaces relation. The free-running mechanism can be made as ratchet dogs secured in the grooves of drum 7 for interaction with ratchet teeth of blocks 24. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 4 dwg
