FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method relates to measurement of angular deformations of extended objects. Deviation angles of members of structure relative to reference direction are found with the aid of laser source used as reference direction of radiation which is directed from object. Regions of backward scattered laser radiation are tracked. Deviation angles of members of structure spread with respect to reference direction are determined, measured angles by which value deformation of object is found are compared. Method makes it possible to improve quality of control over special equipment located on ship, to enhance efficiency of usage of shop's systems, to measure deformations of ship's hull or angular misalignment of structural members, for instance, base platforms spaced from each other.
