PROCEDURE DETERMINING DISTANCE TO OBJECT FROM MOBILE OBSERVER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2155933 C1

FIELD: information and measurement technology, navigation systems. SUBSTANCE: procedure determining distance to object from mobile observer consists in observation of object from three points of trajectory of movement of observer as minimum, in measurement and storing of time intervals between observations, of orientation angles of sight line of object during each observation, of flux of electromagnetic radiation received from object during each observation, of orientation angles of direction to center of attraction. Then angular velocity of sight line of object is found, threshold value of angular velocity of sight line of object is computed, obtained value is compared with computed threshold value. If value of angular velocity of sight line of object is less than threshold value then distance to object is found on basis of results of measurement of electromagnetic flux received from object. If value of angular velocity of sight line exceeds threshold value or equals it then object is observed additionally from at least two points of trajectory of movement of observer. Technical result of realization of given procedure lies in increased precision of determination of distance to object at large angular velocities of sight line of object thanks to utilization of additional information generated as result of measurement of orientation angles of sight line of object from five observation points as minimum. EFFECT: increased precision of determination of distance to object. 1 cl, 2 dwg
