FIELD: selection of passive space objects; detection of fragments and particles moving over trajectory of dangerous approach from board of space station. SUBSTANCE: method includes direction finding of space objects located in area of action of direction finder including measurement of two parameters of present relative position and motion of space station and object bearing and relative radial velocity and identification of objects which present hazard of collision with space station on basis of data thus obtained. Proposed method does not require new electronic equipment and reliability of selection is guaranteed by minimum amount of control equipment and reduced scope of calculations. EFFECT: enhanced reliability at minimum amount of instrumentation and reduced scope of calculations. 4 dwg
