METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF FODDER PRODUCTS FROM CHOPPED BRANCH MASS OF CONIFEROUS TREES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture and silviculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves grinding the mixed branch mass of coniferous trees and its vapor-liquid extraction with steaming, lamination and extraction of resinous, fat-containing and vitamin-containing concentrates and cellulose-containing residue, mixing and heat treatment of the newly-formed mixture followed by drying or granulating. The mixture of chopped branches of coniferous trees is ground in two stages and the resulting wood mass is laid into swaths. The low-temperature steam-liquid extraction is carried out by applying the vapors of gasoline and water at a temperature not over 80-95 C and separating the vitamin-containing concentrate. The subsequent high-temperature extraction produces the cellulose-containing residue of the coniferous green mass. The resulting residue is delivered into a fodder steaming plant where it is heat-treated and mixed with enzyme-yeast mixture. A a temperature of 50-70 C the previously produced vitamin-containing concentrate is subjected to surface pulverization with mixing. The method also involves certain technological method for preparing individual products or treating them at individual stages. This ensures complex closed-cycle processing of greenery and wood, reduces consumption of feedstock and energy carriers and results in a maximum preservation of nutrient and vitamin compounds.
