FIELD: production of catalytic afterburners of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: catalyst carrier has coating formed of toluene suspension of polymethylphenylsiloxane highly filled with aluminium oxide and phlogopite. Coating is applied to metal reinforcement of carrier at room temperature, then, subjected to thermal treatment at 600-800 C in air medium for at least 2 h. Suspension is composition containing, mas.%: polymethylphenylsiloxane 25-32; aluminium oxide 52-55; phlogopite 10-16; toluene 4-6. Suspension is applied to metal reinforcement by spraying or dipping or while pumping-through at pressure. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
