FIELD: exhaust systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to systems for processing gaseous streams of gasoline engines containing hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, together with particles. The system contains a close-coupled three-way catalytic converter (TWC) composite containing a first TWC catalyst material on a flow bed and a particulate catalyst downstream of the close-coupled TWC composite, wherein the catalytic particulate filter comprises a second TWC catalyst material that permeates the walls of the particulate filter, wherein the second TWC catalytic material contains rhodium as the sole platinum group metal.
EFFECT: exhaust systems and components ensure efficient treatment of gaseous emissions and capture of particulate matter.
