SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a catalyst composition for processing emissions from an internal combustion engine, a system adapted for heating a catalytic material, method of processing emissions from an internal combustion engine. Catalytic composition contains a mixture of catalytically active particles and a magnetic material capable of inductive heating in response to an applied alternating electromagnetic field. Magnetic material is superparamagnetic, and catalytically active particles contain one or more catalytic metals impregnated or ion-exchanged in porous carrier, wherein the porous support is a zeolite. Present invention also includes system for catalytic material heating, which includes a catalyst composition and conductor for receiving current and creating an alternating electromagnetic field in response to it, wherein the conductor is arranged such that the formed alternating electromagnetic field is applied to at least a portion of the magnetic material.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of emissions of gaseous pollutants from exhaust pipe of petrol or diesel engines, especially bursting emissions occurring at cold start-up of the engine.
